Habborator A batch of badges
Badges, you love ’m or couldn’t care less. Given the fact we usually meet HC members using their badge as a status symbol (it’s designed to be just that, ofcourse), we tend to the latter. But walking around with a badge because you won an event, well, we can see the fun. So, here’s an overview of - international - badges.
Every hotel has a directory online like: http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/Badges/, and every hotel seems to have all international badges inside (experience so far). Their names are usually meaningful, so guessing gets you a long way. For local badges mostly countrycode (UK, NL, NO etc.) is used and a number. For instance:
http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/Badges/UK1.gif
…will get you the general Infobus badge as used in UK. Keep increasing the number and it'll stop after number of badges actually there. And so on. Here's our list so far, click the badges for details. Thanks go to Demetrios90 and dano at habbos.net for finding some of the Chinese badges. Dano also explained the BZ abbrevation, use of the BB badges and more. Thanks to Bibliophile for additional ‘DE2’ information, Tommys, CrimeX and Gal-I-Hagen for explaining some of the Norwegian badges, fornela for some Italian badges, and mirska for clearing up our confusion on the Finnish badges, Skunkboyjr for US help, Nioki32 and zatchouli for French details, Jeb for Canadian information, ATP-Merlin for Spanish information. Big thanks for investigating, discussing and helping out in general to Chiaki91, Laurensh1, DiSAStA, Inuendo, JOLE, cjames, Scientologist, Zatley, tm, CRAZYFROGS, Magnea and LEGOLAS-KLARA.
Note on the Chinese badges. This hotel has had (hotel closed) a different badge directory, mixture of regular/western badges with different names, and their country specific badges (not found in other countries). In the homepage faqs we still see saw the western version used (ADM/XXX/HC1 etc), and we’ve seen them being worn in both versions, so we’re not fully sure what was going on there.

[Notes:]
To conclude, how serious are these directories ? Well, directories - they (could just) all redirect to the same folder (no differences whatsoever, so most likely true). Is badge display inside the hotel taken from these directories ? Yes, as researched by Magnea. Also, some notes:
- People have been finding badges before they were meant to be known, because naming conventions are clear and don't change; names are uppercase, 3 characters long and usually meaningful. Easy to change the latter, but apparently not so easy to change the rest. That is assuming Sulake doesn't like stuff to be known before release. We’ve seen news about new badges being removed because Habbo staff didn't want it to be known, so we’re assuming they’re limited by own conventions/inner workings of the hotels;
- These images do not get used for display on homepage. Whenever they need an image of a badge, they upload it with a different name to another folder. There’s also a special directory (album1548) for badge display on Habbo homes;
- Remember the badge glitch with (golden) HC, background showing ? Original badge in directory has this yellow background. Seems Sulake had a little problem with their own way to show transparency, in-game transparency is not achieved the regular .gif file way (mask on specific color) - instead the color white is transparent. There have been several occasions, not all fixed, where designers used white inside badge itself, and badges showed unintended transparency. One of the christmas badges suffered a double bug, it was (not anymore) an animation, which doesn’t work inside the hotel (but does on homes). Some examples of how these look inside the hotel:
