The following table is an archive of the
'Habbo Hotel Happenings' newsletters that were sent out during April - December 2001.

A new Habbo Hotel Happenings was issued every week, though sometimes sooner if updates or big events on HABBO HOTEL had occurred. The Habbo Hotel Happenings was written by ione, the Hotel Manager of 2001.
Sometimes guest reporters would have had their articles
and room advertisements added also.

ONE RING RULES THEM ALL

And if you know what that line is from you'll be well excited about this - we've got the official Lord of the Rings mobile logos! And not only have we got them, we're the first place to have them in the UK. So if you get one, your cool rating will be simply off the scale! If you fancy a peek, sign in to the hotel and go to the Mobile Logo Shop. You'll find them in the Official Brands range (select from the drop down menu). Of course, if you're a true fan you'll have a particular character in mind - just search on the character name. Try 'Gandalf' to see how. Like our other Official Brand logos, the Lord of the Rings range is priced at 20 Habbo Credits each. But unlike many other places you can get mobile logos from, we charge only fixed prices - if we say they cost 20 Creds, they do (and you're not stuck on a premium rate phone line for what seems like hours either!). That's Habbo value for you (enough of the cheese - Habbo Editor).

WE'RE SO POPULAR

Aw shucks. Seems you all love us and our lil old hotel. Also appears that you've told your mates, your mates' friends, your cousins and even that quiet kid you hardly know to come down to the hotel! Not that we are complaining - after all, how many friends is too many?! Thing is, with thousands and thousands of new and existing habbos coming into the hotel every day, we're getting a little overwhelmed. So you may have noticed us rebooting our servers a little more often. That's when you get a 'disconnected' notice - all you need to do is reload to get back in. Soon we'll have a mega amount of server firepower, but until then, please bear with us. If you want to reload the hotel at any time, press ctrl+R (apple+R on a Mac). This bypasses the front screen (but please do look at in now and again - or no one will read my latest news flashes...). This works for any site you're in, so it's pretty handy. Don't ya just love those keyboard shortcuts!

SPEEDY GONZALES

We've cranked up the hotel loading speed by using a cunning trick. To take advantage of this, you need to clear your cache. Here's how: In IE, on a PC, open your browser, go into Tools, Options, General and then choose the 'delete files' option for Temporary Internet Files. On a Mac, use this route: Edit, Preferences, Web Browser, Advanced and then choose 'Empty Now' for the Cache. For other browsers, it's pretty similar - the cache settings are usually in Preferences or Options. Ask us if you can't find it. The first time you load Habbo Hotel after you've done this might be slow, so get a cuppa or something. But after that it should be super speedy (or at least faster).

BOB'S YOUR UNCLE

Actually, he isn't, and his full name is SONofBOB. But what he is, is a room maker extraordinaire! His latest creation is ISLEofBOB, a truly imaginative room. Step inside and be transported to a tropical island, replete with seating, luscious greenery and great company. Just beware of the ducks - reports have it that they bite... And talking of nasty ducks, you'll be a-maze-d at this next room - The Evil Ducks Maze. Much trickier than it looks too. I won't describe it - I think you can work it out for yourself (name kinda gives it away).

That's all from me this week - if you've got any ideas about what you'd like to see in the hotel please let us know through the Guest Services Centre: http://www.habbohotel.com/contact.html

(Don't reply to this email - we are refusing to look at this account, so there's no point. So there!)

Happy Habboing!
